Show @ Third Floor Gallery
I was in a two person show at the Third Floor Gallery, located
downtown in St. Louis' hot art and club area - Washington Ave.

I had a great show with an artist known simply as "Wayne".
He's a good artist and a very interesting guy - ex-professional
wrestler with never-ending stories. We had a good crowd and
sold some art despite the cold rainy night.

Kansas City
My wife accompanied me to Kansas City this weekend to finish
some artwork at Paul Dorrell's Leopold Gallery; he had just
sold a work to the City of Gladstone and wanted to have some
of the other larger work in storage, made from shippable sized
parts made permanent. We had a fantastic meal at the Dorrell's
home and swam conversation with his wife two teenage Boys'.
Art on the Block
From May to September 2006, I worked on an epic
commission for the new H&R Block headquarters in Kansas
City, Missouri. Making the 10' by 30' bridge piece,
Confluence, [see more on this page] was an awesome
experience and through that commission, I met Paul Dorrell -
a gallery owner, art consultant, writer, and great supporter of
the arts. Check out his gallery site Leopold Gallery and his
blog Paul's Blog. I hear he was writing about me the other
day.

Paul worked with a professor from the University of Missouri,
Kansas City and his cinema class to document the art effort.
They covered H&R Block's intent to support regional and local
artists and several of the artists (including me) working on
commissions. Check out the documentary through this link -
ART ON THE BLOCK it runs about 20 minutes but you'll see
yours truly and the family. The documentary was aired on
Kansas City's local PBS station.
